Mustard Polka Dot Bag

As my office is in Bandar Puteri Puchong, and that there happened to be an Epal store not so far away. It is only customary for me to be a regular visitor. (Unfortunately, not yet a member though.) To be a member, I have to purchase their Jenome sewing machine. Which I will soon. I'll talk about this separately.

So the promotion was, if I were to have bought in a single receipt of RM100.00 or more, I can get a free class. What do you think I did? Bought RM100.00 of course. Which was pretty much the raw material for the bag. (So predictable huh? can't resist it!)

I went today and this is what I learned and made. I am a proud owner of this Izzati-sewn-mustard-polka-dot bag. (grriiinnnnn.... Large grin...)

First, was cutting the inner, then ironing it to the fabric, then cutting the fabric.
(This alone took almost 1 1/2 hour. Of course, me being a perfectionist for my first bag.)

Then, I was taught how to make a zipper pocket. It was easy peasy!!! Can't wait to do this on my own for other projects.

Then it started to take shape. I was eager to stitch the handle on when I've flipped the bag inside out.

Ultimately, this is what it can fit. Actually it can fit even more! It's a very spacious bag. and I can't wait to sew more...

The class I went to was more than worth it. (There's only so much that I can self-teach myself. Time to go out, meet other sewers, and learn from "cikgu" - they literally call the teacher "cikgu." Macam sekolah kan? )

Till next time peeps. toodles..
